Social and Environmental Commitments

Last Updated December 2024

We prioritize ethical practices, environmental stewardship, and social impact in everything we do. To ensure we uphold these values, we actively collaborate with organizations that guide and hold us accountable to our commitments.

Ethical Partnerships: Pledge No Hate

We work exclusively with nonprofits that align to our values. We are promising to our clients, especially those whose work is deeply connected to democracy and social justice, that we won’t simultaneously enable their detractors with our services.

Part of this understanding means finding ways to ensure that technology isn’t accelerating outcomes that detract from democracy, liberties and rights. PledgeNoHate.tech is leveraging the Southern Poverty Law Center Extremist Files, specifically the Extremist Groups list, as its primary measure of extremism.

British Columbia is the most expensive province in Canada, with Metro Vancouver ranking among the priciest regions globally. We are committed to supporting our team by paying all employees and contractors a living wage. This wage is calculated and verified annually by Living Wage BC, ensuring our compensation reflects the true cost of living and supports a fair, sustainable quality of life.

Certification Status

Cascadia is proud to join the Pledge 1% movement, dedicating at least 1% of our revenue to charitable donations and sponsorships. Additionally, we commit at least 1% of our team’s time to volunteering and supporting community initiatives.

By sharing our resources and skills, we aim to create a lasting positive impact and inspire others to give back.

The NET-ZERO Challenge

Cascadia is proud to contribute to Canada’s Plan to be Net Zero by 2050 through our participation in the Net-Zero Challenge. By following their comprehensive guidelines to measure and report emissions regularly, we ensure transparency and accountability in our journey to reduce our carbon footprint.
